The Discovery Centre
Where playful curiosity grows into confident, capable, school-ready minds — and a lifelong love of learning takes root.

Where confidence takes root.
At The Discovery Centre, we provide a vibrant, engaging environment where curiosity deepens, confidence blossoms, and children begin making meaningful connections about the world around them. We believe children are naturally inquisitive — with an incredible desire to question, explore, and discover — and everything we do is designed to nurture that instinct.
How every child discovers and thrives here.
Learning Through Discovery
Children learn best when they are active participants in the process. Rather than simply being given answers, our children are encouraged to ask questions, investigate topics that interest them, and discover through meaningful hands-on experience.
Whether exploring nature, researching animals, learning about cultures, or diving into thematic projects, our children are guided to think independently, problem-solve, and develop a genuine love for learning that extends well beyond the classroom.
A Strong Academic Foundation
We place equal value on creativity and academic preparation. Our curriculum builds essential skills in literacy, numeracy, language, and critical thinking — delivered through engaging, age-appropriate experiences that make learning enjoyable and meaningful.
Children develop confidence in reading, writing, and communication while preparing for a smooth and successful transition into primary school. The balance between structured learning and open-ended exploration ensures academics never feel forced — they feel natural.
Confidence, Voice, and Communication
At The Discovery Centre, children are given real opportunities to develop their voice. Through spelling bees, show and tell, storytelling, assemblies, performances, and group discussions, they learn to communicate clearly, speak confidently, and participate actively within a community.
Our assemblies celebrate learning, culture, creativity, and values — building a strong sense of belonging while developing leadership and social skills from an early age.
A Curriculum That Nurtures the Whole Child
Inspired by our EduPlay philosophy and grounded in both EYFS and Montessori principles, our programme supports every dimension of a child's development — social, emotional, physical, cognitive, and creative.
Children engage in a rich variety of experiences including art, music and movement, storytelling, science and discovery projects, imaginative play, nature and gardening, cooking, outdoor exploration, and real-world field trips.
Independence and Responsibility
As children grow, so does their sense of ownership. We gently encourage children to take responsibility for their learning, care for their environment, and make thoughtful choices in everyday routines. From classroom responsibilities to collaborative projects, children develop the confidence to see themselves as capable, valued individuals.
Educators Who Inspire
Our educators are deeply committed to early childhood education and to building relationships grounded in trust, encouragement, and respect. With close student-to-educator ratios and genuinely personalised attention, every child is seen, heard, and supported.
A Community Where Children Thrive
The Discovery Centre celebrates diversity, individuality, and creativity. Our multicultural environment helps children develop empathy and appreciation for different perspectives — preparing them to become thoughtful, compassionate individuals in a wider world.
Most importantly, it is a place where children feel happy, confident, and inspired every single day.
Made for this age.

Pre-K Prepsters
Children step into structured learning without losing the magic of play. Guided by the EYFS framework and our EduPlay philosophy, Pre-K Prepsters develop early literacy, numeracy, confidence, and the social grace to thrive — in a group, on a stage, and in the world.

Kinder Grads
A year of flourishing. Children arrive as curious learners and leave as confident, capable individuals — ready for school, ready for life. This is where everything comes together: literacy deepens, mathematical thinking expands, and children begin to truly understand who they are and how they show up in the world.

Future Leaders
This is our most advanced programme — and our proudest send-off. Future Leaders are children who have grown through everything APS has offered them and are now stepping confidently toward Grade 1 and beyond. They are readers, writers, thinkers, and speakers. They are kind, curious, and capable. And they are ready.
Spaces that nurture.
Books at every turn, manipulatives to sort and build, blocks to stack and imagine — every room is a world designed for little hands and curious minds.
A cosy corner where books breathe and puppets come to life. Stories unfold, imaginations stretch, and little readers find their own world within the pages.
Paints, clay, collage, and construction — a space where children make things, try things, and see what happens when imagination meets material.
Where learning and play come alive outdoors. Children plant herbs and vegetables, care for living things, observe nature as it grows, and carry their discoveries into the open air. With plenty of space to explore, imagine, and play, the garden becomes an extension of the classroom beneath the open sky.
The gentle rhythm of a day.
Morning Provocations
Children arrive to thoughtfully arranged tables that spark the day’s first questions. An object, an image, a material — something always waiting to be wondered about.
Circle Time
The day gathers with shared stories, songs, discussions, and movement. Children build language, confidence, and a sense of belonging — together, every single morning.
Writing, Maths & Language
Structured classroom time where children work on literacy, numeracy, and language through purposeful, hands-on activities. This is where skills are built, practised, and celebrated.
Outdoors & Nourishment
Active play, teamwork, and exploration in the outdoor classroom, followed by a shared, independent mealtime. Fresh air and good food, together.
Projects & Reflection
Children dive into deeper creative and inquiry projects — building, making, investigating, and presenting. Curious minds at their most alive.
Story Time
The day closes the way the best days should — gathered together, lost in a good story. Children leave calm, happy, and already looking forward to tomorrow.
The early years are among the most important in a child's life, and we are honoured to be part of that journey. Through academic readiness, creative exploration, and nurturing care, we help children develop the skills, confidence, and love of learning that will carry them forward for years to come.
At The Discovery Centre, we are not just preparing children for school — we are helping them become curious thinkers, confident communicators, and lifelong learners.
